Ganapathy, Narayana

Ph.D. Geospatial Science & Engineering

Narayana has a wide range of research and teaching interests and experience in ecology, biology, animal behavior, and geospatial science. His experiences have taken him to various institutions and organizations in both tropical and temperate countries.

Currently his research interests focus on forest landscape modeling, spatial and terrain analysis of forest processes and dynamics using remote sensing and Geographical Information Systems.

Narayana has a B.S. degree in Ecology and Natural Science Education from the University of Vermont (1993), M.A. degree in Biological Sciences from Smith College (1998), and a Master of Geographical Information Science from the University of Minnesota (2006).
