Kari Pabst is pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Geography. Interests include fire ecology and using remote sensing and GIS as tools to map and monitor post-fire effects. Kari is working with Dr. Mark A. Cochrane on the “Fuel Treatment Effectiveness in the United States” project funded by the Joint Fire Science Program.
Kari is also employed by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as a contractor to the United States Geological Survey at the Center for Earth Resource Observation and Science (USGS/EROS). She supports Fire Science and is currently working on the “Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity” Project. Kari holds a B.A. in Biology from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD.
