59th Annual Eastern SD Science and Engineering Fair winners selected by GISCE

On Tuesday March 12th, 2013, South Dakota State University hosted the 59th annual Eastern South Dakota Science and Engineering fair.  Each year GIScCE sponsors an award for the most creative project in GIS or environmental science.  This year’s winners were Jeffrey Jeltema and Tanner Vanwhye for their projects titled “7 Billion Strong: Population vs. Climate”.  Jeffery and Tanner, from  Unity Christian High School in Orange City, Iowa were competing in the senior division of the Earth and Planetary Science and Weather and Environmental Science section.  Their faculty advisor was Timothy Kamp, also of Unity Christian High School. Jeffrey, Tanner and Mr. Kamp were awarded Oxford World Atlases.
