Confiance is an Agricultural Engineer, with a specialization in Natural Resources Management from the University of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo). He is currently working on a NASA/CARPE-funded Graduate Research Assistantship at the GIScCE as a Master’s student. 

Lamsal, Aashis

Aashis started work at GIScCE as Geospatial Analyst in August 2011. Prior to that, he worked for Hitechvalley iNet and Worldlink Technologies as a Software Engineer. His duties at GIScCE include developing an automated system for forecasting infectious disease risk using satellite remote sensing data, building Web 2.0 portals, and crunching volumes of GIS & remote sensing data.

Boyte, Stephen

Steve Boyte is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Geography at South Dakota State University with an emphasis in geospatial technologies. He held a teaching assistantship with the Department of Geography, and he worked on fire modeling projects with Dr. Michael Wimberly in SDSU's GISc Center of Excellence. His research focused on the application of landscape simulation models to study the historical range of variability of forest landscapes in the western United States, specifically in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Arnold, Sarah

Sarah Arnold is interested in studying historical wildfires, fire ecology, and GIS. She worked with Dr. Mark A. Cochrane on the "Fuel Treatment Effectiveness in the United States" project funded by the Joint Fire Science Program as a part of her Master's thesis.

Sarah has an Associate degree of Science in Marketing from the Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls and a Bachelors of Arts in Business from the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota. She is currently working towards a Master's of Science degree in Geography at South Dakota State University.
