Dr. Matt Hansen builds capacity in DR Congo
Posted: Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Matt Hansen travels to the Democratic Republic of Congo from October 13 to 23 to install image processing hardware and software, and to provide introductory image processing training to the NGO OSFAC (Observatoire Satellital des Forêts d'Afrique Centrale).  OSFAC is a partner of SDSU’s on the USAID-funded CARPE (Central African Regional Program for the Environment) project, which aims to improve the understanding of environmental dynamics in the Congo Basin.
