Jongmin Yeom‘s research interests are principally in the extraction of land surface information from satellite remote sensing data. He received a Ph.D. Degree in 2009, an M.S. in remote sensing in 2005, and B.Sc. in Atmospheric science in 2003, from the Department of Environmental Atmospheric Sciences, Pukyuong National University, South Korea. His Ph.D. research focused on exploring the utility of satellite data sensed by sun- and geo- synchronous satellites (MODIS and MTSAT-1R respectively) to retrieve parameters including nadir BRDF-adjusted reflectance and surface insolation. He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Pukyong national University. Since September, 2009, he has been working as a post-doctoral research associate under Prof. David Roy at SDSU.
