Agent-based modeling in spatial settings

Dr. Boone is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Sustainability at Colorado State University, and Senior Scientist in the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory.  He is a wildlife biologist by training who has specialized in the use of agent based models to explore the feedbacks between ecological processes and wildlife and human decision-making.  Randy will discuss the ways in which the interactions between individuals and their environments may be represented in an agent-based model, and how those models may use GIS themes to address problems in a spatially explicit way.
