Geospatial information at the service of conservation: Evaluating outcomes and outlining future actions

Dr. Viña is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Systems Integration and Sustainability at Michigan State University, where he moved following his PhD research at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.  His research is focused on remote sensing of the spatio-temporal dynamics of vegetation, oriented towards the development of remote sensing techniques for analyzing understory vegetation and plant biodiversity at broad geographic regions.
