Eugene Apindi Ochieng holds a BSc. degree in Geology from the University of Nairobi.
Interests include application of GIS and Remote Sensing in
environmental monitoring and management. Eugene is currently working with
Dr. Matthew C. Hansen in developing a Landcover map of Africa
using 250m resolution MODIS data. Before joining SDSU, Eugene worked as an
environmental geologist in Nairobi-Kenya, and later on as was a visiting
scientist at the UNEP-GRID offices located at the USGS-EROS. He is currently
working towards a Master of Science degree in Geography with the SDSU Department of Geography.
